Concrete is a porous material making it highly-susceptible to staining and discoloration. The more porous the concrete the easier it is for contaminants to penetrate. Surface contaminants such as oil, rust, grease, sap, dirt, grime that are left for extended periods of time will be able to deeply penetrate the concrete, making it almost impossible to completely remove without the proper knowledge, equipment, and cleaning agents.

How We Clean Your Concrete
As we previously mentioned, concrete is a highly-porous material making it very susceptible to staining from oil, grease, grime, chemicals, tire marks, and many more.
These stains can become almost impossible to remove if given time to set. Cold water cleaning will not be able to penetrate the concrete surface. Hot water cleaning is necessary in the concrete cleaning process in order to completely remove all traces of stains, dirt, grime, and other surface contaminants.
Pelican Exterior Washing uses an alkaline detergent foam solution that we let soak into the concrete. These powerful solution penetrates the surface of the concrete in order to break down all of the build up of surface contaminants. We then use a high-pressure washer that shoots out hot water at a pressure of 3600 PSI that will effectively remove the contaminants that have been softened by the alkaline solution.
After the concrete surface has been thoroughly cleaned we then bring it back to a neutral pH level which makes the concrete more susceptible to bonding with paints and sealants if necessary.
